How do I set a rivet nut? ▾

Drill a hole of the right size (it's on the box, e.g. 9 mm for M6). Screw the nut onto the adapter, push it into the hole, hold the collar with a spanner and run the drill slowly until it stops. The nut clamps itself behind the sheet. Reverse the drill and unscrew the adapter – done.

Will it fit my drill? ▾

Yes. The adapters have a standard 1/4" hex and fit all common drill chucks, corded and cordless. Use low speed and turn off the hammer function.

What materials can I use it in? ▾

Thin steel sheet, aluminium, tubes, profiles and hard plastic – wherever a screw pulls out or you can't reach behind.

Can I use it on my car? ▾

Yes, for mounts and accessories: number plate holders, toolboxes, trim panels, roof rack rails and brackets. Don't use rivet nuts in load-bearing or safety-critical parts – brakes, suspension, steering, seat belt anchors or lifting points. There you must follow the manufacturer's instructions.
